Speaker Bio: Aude Semat joined the Egyptian Department in October 2019 and oversees the Second Intermediate Period and early New Kingdom galleries, as well as the Department's archives. Her research focuses on tomb architecture, painting, landscape, and gardens, as well as the history of collecting and museums in the 19th century.
