Environmental Justice Reading Group

We are an interdisciplinary group of scholars who meet monthly to discuss readings related to environmental justice and injustice. We interpret "environmental justice" broadly, including not only scholarship that self-identifies with this term, but also work that is more generally concerned with society, culture, environment, and power. The group is open to all faculty, staff, and graduate students regardless of their level of familiarity with these themes.

In this session, we will be discussing selections from Matthew Archer's Unsustainable: Measurement, Reporting, and the Limits of Corporate Sustainability (2024): "Chapter 2: Measuring sustainability" (pp. 56-80), "Chapter 5: Sustainable lives" (pp. 141-67) and "Conclusion: Against sustainability" (pp. 195-202).
