CHR 2021 Summer Funding Awardees- Joint Research Presentations

Join us for an event honoring the four CHR summer funding awardees. We will hear four short research presentations.

Tawnya Azar, Term Assistant Professor of English, will be presenting on her book manuscript entitled, Digital Literary Culture  

Charles L. Chavis, Jr., Assistant Professor of Conflict Resolution and History, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, will introduce a Digital Exhibit and Discussion Guide which builds on his  publication, The Silent Shore: The Lynching of Matthew Williams and the Politics of Racism in the Free State.

Kevin M. FlanaganTerm Assistant Professor of English, will speak on a chapter, for an edited volume, entitled, "Paternalism, Bohemianism, and the X Certificate: The Party’s Over (1965) and the Pre-Swinging Set"

Huwy-min Lucia Liu, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology, will present on a book manuscript tentatively titled Governing Death, Making Persons: The New Chinese Way of Death.
